for a party of 8o adults how much beer and wine should I get

The average guest will have 1 drink per hour. 60% of your guests will have wine and the othre 40% will drink beer. Assuming the event is 4 hours, we suggest having 35-40 bottles of wine and 5-7 cases of beer (24packs)
