I am doing a one time catering event for a friend. do I need insurance? where do i get it? About how much will this cost?

If you are holding this event in a private residence you will only need to obtain a Special Occasions Permit to serve liquor. You can get these at the LCBO for approx. $75. If you are having the event in a venue space you will need to speak to the owner/operator of that space to see if you need any insurance to work in their space.
